Saturday, May 18, 10am - 4pm. Tuition includes materials. A workshop for students wanting to work from their own photographs. The focus from pre-workshop photograph instruction to drawing will be to learn to take good photographs. Students will then develop sketches as a precursor to a painting. Bring your own supplies of drawing pencils and a sketchbook. Instructions on taking an appropriate photograph will be sent 2-3 weeks before the workshop so students can get their photographs processed as a hard copy before the workshop. The workshop time will be to develop the photograph(s) into a finished drawing. Methods explored will be: freehand, grid method, projection and transfer paper. Register Early and prepare!! Photo tips will be sent out 2 - 3 weeks before class. There will be an optional outdoor photo shoot at 8am for those interested, and for those who registered late.
