UNC Asheville’s Concerts on the Quad will return in summer 2017 with four free Monday evening shows, featuring Americana/roots, jazz, funk, rock and soul music.The free concerts take place June 19 and 26, and July 10 and 17, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. on the UNC Asheville Quad. Attendees are invited to bring chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy along with the music. Meals, treats and drinks will be available from concession stands on the Quad.June 19 – Chatham County Line – The concert series begins with Chatham County Line, a Raleigh-based band combining traditional bluegrass harmonies with modern influences. Led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Wilson, the group also features John Teer (mandolin and fiddle), Chandler Holt (banjo) and Greg Readling (bass, pedal steel and piano). Chatham County Line coalesced as a band in the late 1990s and released its seventh studio album, Autumn, last fall.
