Beer City Comic Con

Beer City Comic Con exists to unite comic book, sci-fi, cosplay, pop culture and fans of science, psychology, philosophy and social justice in the remarkable city of Asheville.  We've designed a month-long celebration of mini-outings at local businesses, culminating at a weekend convention where geeks of all fandoms can gather to revel in the wonderful weirdness that unites us all!

Shameless nerds, comic fans, cosplay enthusiasts, and those curious about our fun and friendly scene, the Beer City Comic Con will deliver the most creative and educational Con of 2023.

In addition to marvelous comic book dealers, intrepid vendors, and brave local artists, we'll have:

—Super seminars with renowned brainiacs discussing the Con community's role in keeping our planet safe from harm

—Panel discussions about the psychology of comic book characters and their influence on modern culture

—Pop-up dance and costume events with DJs for all you freaks and geeks

—Beer, beer, and beer from Asheville's finest breweries

Friday Sept. 29th 3pm-6:30pm- Beer City CONx

CONx = Community. Ontology. Noetics. CONx is our chance to hear directly from our guests about their passion, vision, and research. It is a short-set style lecture series where we will highlight our guests' respective missions. Guests will include comic book creators, psychologists, philosophers, community leaders, religious scholars, experts in social justice and sustainability, Navy SEALS, and so many more! And don't forget to enjoy a delicious beer from one of our amazing local breweries during the show! Get informed and inspired at Beer City CONx!
