Asheville BARNAROO is celebrating 5 years at Franny’s Farm in Leicester, NC September 29- October 1, featuring non-stop music over 33 acres for 3 days. Sunday is free to the public. BARNAROO was started by Andrew Scotchie and friends in 2009, when the underagers couldn't get into Bonnaroo. Since then, the festival has grown up and continues to evolve musically. It's purpose is to showcase, promote and celebrate local and regional singer songwriters and bands in the rock & roll, hard rock, folk, americana, bluegrass and funk genres.
Barnaroo's goal is to give back to the youth music community through Asheville Music School. The Festival is an ALL WEEKEND event with optional camping. Sunday is free to the public from 9am to festival closeout at 2:00pm. We feature 11+ amazing local and regional performers, plus student bands from AMS. Featuring local beer from Hi-Wire, local food from Farm to Fender food truck, talented regional crafts & artist, dancing, great people and awesome music!
