If you’ve taken Patricia Spangler's (or similar) Introduction to Eco Printing workshop, you know how fun it is to watch what happens when leaves, flowers, seeds, roots, and bark are exposed to water and heat. The unique “signature” they leave behind is fascinating and beautiful.
In this intermediate-level workshop, Patricia will take your eco printing skills to the next level. In addition to employing basic eco-printing techniques, you will learn to apply color from natural sources, including cochineal (fuschia), osage orange (yellow-orange), and logwood (blue-purple). While white backgrounds are wonderful, you’ll love the transformation color creates!
After you sample various colors and methods, you’ll pick your favorite combination and use it to create a one-of-a-kind 14" x 72" silk scarf.
Previous eco printing experience strongly encouraged.
