Mandalas, a Sanskrit word meaning center, circumference, and magic circle, are found everywhere: in nature, sacral art, and architecture. But did you know that they can also reveal how you view yourself? Join mandala specialist, Lynn Karegeannes, as she takes you on a fascinating journey to, first, create a personal mandala, and, then, explore possible interpretations of what you’ve expressed.
Lynn will open the workshop by giving you a brief presentation about what mandalas are, how they’ve appeared and been used throughout history, and where you can see them in nature. Then, the real fun begins! Using a variety of materials (e.g., colored pencils, chalk pastel, rubber stamps, watercolor pencils, and watercolor crayons), you’ll create your own personal mandala. Finally, Lynn will use her extensive mandala background to help you decipher your own meaning hidden in your design.
No drawing skills necessary!
