This holiday season, skip the Hallmark store and give your loved ones a beautiful handmade greeting card! In this fun, informative, and delicious workshop, you’ll learn how to make professional-looking cards while enjoying scrumptious handmade truffles and red or white wine.
While you indulge your tastebuds, mixed media artist Kate Corcoran will teach you basic cardmaking techniques using paper, fabric, ribbon, stickers, stamps, stencils, and other embellishments. The introduction will focus on simple card design, composition, and construction, but there will be opportunities to make more complex, interactive cards as well.
Cardmaking and Cricut afficionado Teresa Tribolet will also demonstrate how to print and assemble a festive 3-D holiday card using a Cricut Maker and Cricut Design Space software. You’ll then have the opportunity to create your own holiday die cut card using precut materials. We'll also review the fundamentals of Cricut and talk about some of the many amazing things it can make and do.
You’ll create at least two or three finished cards using Kate and Teresa’s extensive stash of holiday cardmaking materials, and you’ll leave knowing how to create more processional-looking cards on your own.
If you’re tired of giving generic holiday cards again this year, treat yourself to a multisensory cardmaking experience and your loved one(s) to a one-of-a-kind gift!
