An evening with Beer Author, John Holl

Join us for an evening with John Holl, and Jon Page the author and photographer of the new book, The Craft Brewery Cookbook.

5:30 PM – VIP Reception and Food Pairing (Ticketed)

Our evening begins with a ticketed VIP food pairing and reception with the author. Chef Cody from Bun Intended will create small bites inspired by the book. Guests can talk with John and Jon and get a signed copy of The Craft Beer Cookbook before the crowds.

7 PM – Public Podcast Taping with John Holl and Highland Family Owners, Oscar and Leah Wong (Free and Open to the Public)

Doors open to the public at 6:30 PM for this free, public podcast recording, so grab a beer and a conversation with John Holl, Jon Page and Highland Family owners, Oscar and Leah Wong. They’ll talk about food, the past and future of Asheville craft beer, and more during this live recording of Holl’s podcast, Drink Beer, Think Beer. The author and photographer will be available after the podcast taping to sign copies of his new book, The Craft Brewery Cookbook. The Barrel Room bar will remain open until 8:30 PM.

Books will be available for purchase onsite from Malaprops throughout the evening.

About our guest: JOHN HOLL is an award-winning journalist covering the beer industry. He’s the author of several books including Drink Beer, Think Beer: Getting to the Bottom of Every Pint and The American Craft Beer Cookbook. He is the co-host of Steal This Beer, a podcast. His work has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Wine Enthusiast and more.
