On view January 22–April 19, 2021 at the Asheville Art Museum. Across the Atlantic: American Impressionism Through the French Lens, drawn from the collection of the Reading Public Museum, examines the relationship between French Impressionism of the 1870s and 1880s and the American interpretation of the style in the decades that followed. More than 75 paintings and works on paper by artists including Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt, John Singer Sargent, and more will be on view through April 19.

Across the Atlantic is organized by the Reading Public Museum, Reading, PA. Generous support for this project provided by Art Bridges, The Maurer Family Foundation, and Bitsy & Jim Powell. This is a ticketed exhibition.
