Meet our Newest Board Members

We have an amazing group of community members who work hard to make Chow Chow happen, including those who serve on our Board of Directors. Meet a few of our newest Board members!

Neomi NegronNeomi Negron is owner/operator of Buggy Pops, an ice pop trike in Asheville, NC. She is a food lover who believes that food is the one thing that connects all people and cultures. Neomi's love language is food and Chow Chow is the perfect place to speak that language. Neomi enjoys sharing her Latinx culture while learning about other cultures and the stories their foods tell.

Joel MowreyJoel Mowrey is the owner of Smoking J's Fiery Foods which is a farm based business located in the Hominy Valley of Candler, NC. Smoking J's specializes in growing unique and hard to find chile peppers and manufactures a diverse line of specialty food products.  Joel is married to his wife Tara and has twin, teenage daughters who attend Enka High School.  Joel enjoys attending his daughters different sporting events, working outside on different farm improvement projects and grilling out with friends and family.  Joel is passionate about the cultivation of food and goods through farming, business entrepreneurship and meeting new people who share those similar interests and therefore is very excited to be serving on the board for Chow Chow with so many notable and talented individuals based out of Western North Carolina.

Rhea LidowskiRhea Lidowski is a 13 year sales and marketing craft beverage veteran, managing such brands as Lonerider, Bhramari and Chemist Spirits. A true North Carolina native, Rhea has always been passionate about supporting her community -- especially when it comes to lifting up all the brilliant craft food and beverage makers that live here. Running her own urban farmstead with her husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 10 chickens, Rhea lives out her own personal passion for local inspired food and beverage by crafting things like honeysuckle liqueur made with harvested flowers from her backyard or even Thai inspired fermented ramps when they're in season. That's why Rhea couldn't be more excited to apply her marketing skills and passion for craft food and beverage to the years ahead growing Chow Chow into a national attraction -- she is driven to do all she can to ensure her home is celebrated and protected for all that makes it so very special!

Caitlin McMahonCaitlin McMahon is Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at Tupelo Honey, where she leads the purchasing department to put food safety, product quality, and thoughtful sourcing at the forefront of every vendor and product selection. Throughout high school and college Caitlin had the opportunity to work at many of the restaurants at the roots of our wonderful Asheville hospitality community. (Her first job was scooping ice cream at the Hop at 14!) She takes joyful pride watching our community grow and develop and make space for so many incredible farmers, chefs, and artisans these last 22 years that her family has called Asheville home.
