My journey in wine started in a vineyard in southern Utah as an intern in the WWOOF program. I caught the wine bug immediately. I wanted to discover how everyone else in the world was making wine, so I could find my style. After Utah I enrolled in the Court of Master Sommeliers, and studied towards my level 2 certification. After a handful of years in Wyoming, Colorado, and Montana I moved to Chicago to work at Alinea, a three Michelin starred restaurant. During a research trip in the finger lakes of NY, my best friend Chris Denesha asked me to be apart of plēb urban winery. It is here I started making wine. The rest is a mystery.
