Born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, I first learned how to cook by observing my mother when she prepared meals at home. As I grew older, I went from observing to assisting in the kitchen and learnt the secret ingredients used as the basis of all authentic Latino flavors. My dream of owning my own food business comes from the desire to share and introduce to everyone my heritage. My mother and her family recipes are the foundations to my seasoning and flavors and the food that I serve is very much representative of our culture and traditions. Needless to say, Sweet Plantain was created to cordially invite everyone to experience authentic, home-cooked, healthy Latin cuisine.
