District Wine Bar opened in Asheville’s River Arts District on Valentine’s Day 2018, District Wine Bar celebrates a love of community, creativity and, of course, wine. The brainchild of Asheville residents and hospitality veterans Lauri and Barrett Nichols, this boutique wine bar offers over fifty wines by the glass and an expansive bottle list of cellar staples and unique finds. The thoughtfully curated wine list features small family vineyards and rare, geeky treasures, raises a glass to female winemakers, and highlights natural, sustainably and biodynamically grown wines. District’s menu includes hand-picked European beers and locally sourced cheeses, charcuterie and homemade spreads. . Its walls exhibit an ever-changing collection of works by local artists. Just within the year they’ve been voted as one of the top places to visit in Asheville, featured on the Travel Channel, Garden and Gun, and named as one of the Mountain Xpress’s top 3 best wine bars in WNC.
Over 20 immersive signature events are featured throughout the weekend! Tours, dinners, parties, foraging and more await.
