Lady Luck Flower Farm is a family farm in the Big Sandy Mush valley in Leicester, NC, growing flowers and medicinal herbs on 10 acres, since 2007. We, Mike Adams + Katie Grear along with our 5 year old son are NC natives, Katie being from Asheville. We are super excited to be a part of Chow Chow this year!
The local food movement has increased consciousness about the negative impact of globalized agri-business, and we're grateful that it's also fostered greater knowledge and appreciation for fresh, seasonal flowers.
We grow over 50 species and 100's of varieties of flowers for a variety of colors and textures in blooms and foliage from first to last frost and beyond. Some of our major crops are Dahlia, Peony, Zinnia, Celosia, Sunflower, Hydrangea, and Yarrow.
We sell buckets of flowers to the public for special events, offer you-pick in summer and fall, offer full service floral design, as well as selling to florists and a small amount of bouquets to The French Broad Food Co-Op and Leicester Grocery and Garden.
Last year we started hosting events on the farm, and have had weddings, workshops, staff parties, and classes on various subjects. We also hold Community U-pick days on certain Saturdays throughout the summer and fall, where we invite the public to come pick flowers or just walk the fields. Those are announced and listed on our instagram and facebook pages.
We are strongly committed to the stewardship of the land, and only use organic inputs to grow our crops. We see the farm as a microcosm of our planet Earth, where individual organisms work symbiotically to nurture and sustain one another.
Over 20 immersive signature events are featured throughout the weekend! Tours, dinners, parties, foraging and more await.
