Eric Scheffer’s entrepreneurial spirit along with his dedication and passions for Food, Wine and People, lives on with the hospitality brands and companies he has had the
joy of creating and running over the past 19 years. Scheffer began his professional career in the entertainment industry. Early on in his career he was in Rock & Roll producing Concerts and Rock Videos. He segued into the TV Commercial and Advertising Industry as a producer and executive producer eventually running the countries largest TV Commercial production company. Additionally he worked for AD Agencies in Latin America and Europe. Scheffer took on several feature film projects as Producer, including working for Oliver Stone during the pre-production of Avita in Argentina. After moving to Asheville, North Carolina in 1995, Scheffer opened Kingfisher Productions, a Charleston, South Carolina based Ad Agency.
A self taught Chef, Scheffer opened his first restaurant, The Savoy, in 2000 in Asheville. The Savoy was an instant success and widely recognized as one of the nation's
premier fine dinning restaurants. Currently he owns and operates Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian Restaurant, voted Asheville’s best Italian restaurant for 9 years in row. Scheffer is the creator and driving force behind the food and beverage for Dining Innovations, Asheville’s premier catering and corporate event company.
Scheffer’s years of wine experience led to his foray into the business when he started Bodega Gratia, a boutiqueArgentinian winery and Victus World Imports, a wine
importation business importing wines from Argentina, Spain and France.
