Chef Brian grew up loving food, not necessarily cooking. While other children would wake up early on Sundays to watch cartoons, Brian eagerly awoke to "The Galloping Gourmet" and Julia Childs. He did not start cooking until college and quickly found he had a passion for the art, creativity and energy of the kitchen. With no "formal" training, Brian was lucky enough to work under some of the best chefs in Asheville. In 2015, Brian, the long time executive sous chef, and his wife Laura, the pastry chef, were able to purchase Rezaz in Historic Biltmore Village - Asheville's premiere Mediterranean restaurant. In 2017, along with Reza Setayesh, they opened Baba Nahm - A Middle Eastern Grab & Go. Chef Brian specializes in creative Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine.
