Wicked Weed Brewing is based in Asheville, North Carolina. Founded in December 2012, the original brewpub consistently hosts 25+ beers on tap with an impressive array of styles. Wicked Weed Brewing’s focus is in West Coast-style IPAs and a robust sour and wild ale program. These sour ales are showcased in their second location, The Funkatorium, opened in October 2013. Wicked Weed continued its expansion in the summer of 2015 with a 50-barrel production brewery allowing for a wider distribution footprint in select states and then again in 2016 with the opening of their sour beer production facility. Wicked Weed is striving to become one of the leading producers of barrel-aged sours, farmhouse ales, and IPAs in the Southeastern United States. The brewery has won many awards in prestigious beer competitions including a silver medal for Pernicious IPA in 2015 at the Great American Beer Festival and a bronze medal for Red Angel in the Sour Ale category in 2016. 2019 growth includes their new fine dining restaurant, Cultura and a taproom inside their Candler production facility.
