Born and raised in Bennington, New Hampshire, Executive Chef Peter Crockett now calls Asheville home after several years in Charleston, honing his love for food. Following high school, Crockett moved to Charleston, South Carolina to pursue his culinary education and graduated from the Culinary Institute of Charleston. Following graduation, Crockett was hired as the Executive Chef of CURE in Charleston, a prime steakhouse also specializing in craft bourbon. During this time he was featured in Thrillist and the Top 10 restaurants in Charleston. Ready for a new challenge, Crockett moved to Asheville to help open Hemingway’s Cuba, Asheville’s premier Cuban restaurant. Following the opening, Crockett became the Executive Chef of the downtown staple, Isa’s Bistro. Serving up creative culinary dishes that pull inspiration from Western North Carolina’s exceptional fresh ingredients and Southern cuisine.
