Andy Hale is a sommelier, the Director of Wine Education and host of the Bind Tasting League at Asheville’s premier wine shop, Metro Wines. He also contributes to the education team for the culinary program at AB Tech.
Andy Hale joined Metro Wines in 2014 to combine his expertise in both wine and education. Over the last half decade, he has written and taught wine classes at all levels for both the public and restaurant professionals. During this period, Andy has also written several articles for local publications.
Before Metro Wines, Andy worked as a sommelier at both the Jasmine Porch and the Ocean Room on Kiawah Island in South Carolina. He began his teaching career at Appalachian State University.
