Come join us for an Afternoon Tea Tasting! Tea is a staple beverage for much of the world, and sweet iced tea is a fixture of southern culture and cuisine. Join Asheville Tea Company and other Asheville-area tea makers as we taste 6 artisan teas, and discuss the history of tea and herbal infusions and its influence on our southern food heritage. We will serve a tea flight, discuss flavor notes, sourcing, locally-grown and native ingredients, health benefits and historical context for each tea we taste, and enjoy a selection of sweet and savory afternoon treats paired with the teas.
