Wicked Weed Releases Second Bottled BeerRelease party Saturday, beer dinner coming next month
North Carolina Beer Month kicks off on April 1, and in preparation for this month-long celebration of craft brews, we will be sharing some of Asheville's top beer news. Cheers!
Wicked Weed Brewing, one of Asheville's most popular breweries and restaurants and gold medal winner at this year's Great American Beer Festival, is set to launch its second bottled beer tomorrow, March 22.
The Black Angel Cherry Sour has been a flagship beer for the brewery since they opened in late 2012, and the bourbon barrel-aged sour features chocolate and vanilla flavors with bright cherry and--according to brewers--a touch of barnyard.
Wicked Weed's first bottle release--of the gold medal-winning Serenity--was a huge success, and organizers anticipate a great reception. Bottle sales will start at 11 a.m., with a VIP gathering for the first 100 people beginning at 10 a.m.
And don't forget to mark your calendars for Wicked Weed's Brewers vs. Chefs Beer Dinner on April 29. This five-course dinner will highlight the great food and award winning beers made at the brewery, and will also add an element of competition. Each course will be paired with two beers, one chosen by the chefs and one by the brewers, and diners get to decide who made the better choice!
Tickets for the dinner are $65 per person and are available at the restaurant and online.
