Last year during Halloween, Asheville experienced Moogfest, a multi-day, multi-venue electronic music festival that celebrated the successes of musical pioneer and creator of the synthesizer, Bob Moog (pronounced mogue, like vogue). Moogfest was such a hit that plans for this year's festival are underway, but in case you're one of the many people who can't wait that long there is the Halfway to Moogfest concert event happening from April 29 through May 1, 2011 at The Orange Peel in downtown Asheville.
Here's the official lineup:
Friday April 29: The Family Tour featuring Atmosphere, Blueprint, Grieves with Budo, Sab the Artist, and DJ Abilities
Saturday April 30: Madlib (DJ Set) &Washed Out
Sunday May 1: RUSKO with Doorly
All shows start at 8PM and tickets are available at The Orange Peel. Be sure to check back often for more updates on Moogfest 2011.
