Heist Comedy Brings Funny Stars to Town
Galifianakis, Wiig lead cast in Asheville film

Owen Wilson walks into a craft beer bar in Asheville. And no, that's not the start to a joke, it's what the comedic actor actually did earlier this week, as he acclimated himself to his new home for the next few weeks.

Wilson is in town for the upcoming shoot of a new film, and he won't be the only recognizable face on the streets of Asheville this summer. The project, a heist comedy directed by Jared Hess of Napoleon Dynamite fame, will also star Zach Galifianakis, Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, and a host of other stars, many of them Saturday Night Live alumni.

Shooting is slated to begin next week for the film, which is based on the real-life story of a Loomis Fargo employee and his co-conspirators who stole more than $17 million from a Charlotte, N.C. vault in 1997.

During his short time in town so far, Wilson has been spotted at Lexington Avenue Brewery and at The Imperial Life bar, both in downtown Asheville. Earlier this month, film producer and SNL creator Lorne Michaels dined at The Market Place restaurant during a scouting visit. Word on the street is that other top cast are in town, too, so stay tuned for celebrity sightings and filming updates.
