Easter Festivities for All AgesGather Your Peeps for a Memorable Easter Eggs-perience
With Easter Sunday just a few days away on April 20, families hunting for some sweet holiday fun are in luck. Check out one of these classic Asheville celebrations:
Kick off your Easter weekend on Saturday, April 20 with Easter on the Green, a free event in Pack Square Park that will feature a 21-foot giant slide, obstacle course and a mini bounce house for toddlers. Plus, enjoy age-specific egg hunts--with all-natural candy and sweets!
Chimney Rock Park's 59th Annual Easter Sunrise Service attracts more than 1,000 early birds each year, who gather for this free, non-denominational Easter celebration set against the breathtaking backdrop of sunrise over Lake Lure. The gate opens at 5 a.m. for the 6:30 a.m. service.
The Easter Bunny is coming to town for Biltmore's Annual Easter Egg Hunt, held on the estate's Front Lawn. Three separate egg hunts welcome children ages 2-9 (bring your own basket), and magic shows, music and storytelling also egg-cite. Those spending the day at Biltmore should also head over to Antler Hill Farm to see the estate's baby animals in action!
If all that hopping is making your hungry, then make sure you don't skip brunch! Biltmore's Deerpark and the Dining Room at the Inn on Biltmore Estate are both offering special brunch menus. Or make a reservation at Roux or the DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville Biltmore to taste the delicious holiday menus their chefs have created.
Celebrate spring in Asheville.
