Arts Alive! Connecting to creativity in the Blue RidgeComing Soon: One Stop for Asheville Arts
"best of" lists for many reasons--scenic beauty, food, beer, and of course, the arts.
In fact, AmericanStyle magazine put Asheville on its list of best small cities for the arts for more than a decade, and the "Paris of the South"--as this area is sometimes known--even topped the list for two consecutive years.
Now, thanks to a collaboration between the Asheville CVB and the Asheville Area Arts Council, it's about to be easier than ever to connect to the city's creative experiences.
When completed, the Asheville Arts Alive web portal will provide comprehensive online access to cultural adventures of all kinds, including hands-on classes in glassblowing and jewelry-making, open studios where visitors can chat with artists at work, galleries that showcase the best of the region, mind-blowing performances of drama and dance, and festivals for the whole family.
Although the team behind the scenes is still hard at work adding additional artists and creating the most robust directory possible, we are excited to offer a sneak peek into the Asheville Arts Alive portal now.
Please stay tuned for updates--we want you to be the first to know when the completed portal goes live! And in the meantime, be sure to take a look at what's happening this season with artisan crafts and performing arts.
Check out Asheville Arts Alive now.
