2017 Biltmore Concert Series
By Jason Tarr
Each summer in Asheville, N.C., the South Terrace of Biltmore provides the stage for one of the most picturesque and unique outdoor music venues in the country. The stunning grandeur of America's Largest Home and the Blue Ridge Mountains are the backdrop for the annual Biltmore Concert Series, which welcomes a number of legendary performers every year.
American rock band The Goo Goo Dolls were the first performers to be announced for the 2017 concert season. Biltmore made the announcement in March. Billboard magazine calls the Goo Goo Dolls "one of the most popular alternative rock bands of the 1990s." The band has sold millions of records and landed major hits with the songs, "Name" and "Iris." The Goo Goo Dolls will take the Biltmore stage on August 26, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., and will be joined by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips.
On May 1st, Biltmore revealed the complete 2017 Summer Concert Series lineup:
- July 27 - Kool & the Gang and The Commodores
- July 30 - The Beach Boys
- August 18 - Newsboys with special guest Mandisa
- August 19 - Tony Bennett
- August 24 - REO Speedwagon
