Jay Brown: Free Music Wednesdays at Givens

We are excited to bring back our regular monthly performances at Givens Highland Farms! Join us every 2nd Wednesday to experience live local talent hosted by The White Horse Community Hub. These performances are 100% free and open to the public.

Jay Brown has is a roots music, one-man band from Black Mountain, NC, who has been playing guitar and piano since the age of 7. Jay is also a prolific songwriter and has spent years traveling/playing around the U.S., performing with such artists such as Doc Watson, Old Crow Medicine Show and Etta Baker, often with his band Lazybirds, or with several music projects he shares with his beloved Aditi. For 10 years, Jay worked as a music therapist for Hospice in Asheville. He continues this enriching work at The Center for Conscious Living and Dying. A versatile musician, you can find Jay playing in pubs, listening rooms, song-writer showcases and house concerts around the Appalachian Mountains of NC.
