Introduction to Intaglio Collage Printmaking
- White Horse Black Mountain105c Montreat Rd, Black Mountain, NC 28711, USA, Black Mountain,
Intaglio printing is a process where an image is cut, scratched, or etched into a metal plate. Ink is pushed into the grooves and wiped off the flat surface. High pressure from a rolling machine pushes damp paper into the grooves to pull out the ink. Over the course of this series, students will learn what Intaglio Printmaking is, how to create new plates, and explore the traditional process and some unconventional approaches. You will leave with one background plate, several collage components, and the ability to create more as you wish.
Please Note: Due to limited supplies, pre-registration is required.
