I recently had a very connected and heart opening experience at the Stillpoint Wellness Spa.   I happen to be a person with deep rooted scars which I carry with me through life and because of that I have devoted myself to therapy, both in mind and body.  I believe in self awareness and that becoming more conscious is the ultimate healing.  This being said I am extremely picky when it comes to spas esoecially after being a frequent Esalen Institute Visitor.   Stillpoint Spa is a heart opening place which instantly puts you in a state of peace as soon as you walk in the door.  It's run by a couple who deeply love each other and this 'In the Love' energy permeates ones experience.  My first (and won't be the last) visit I took part in a Sense deprivation float tank.   I cannot recommend this enough!  All I can say (because sharing my experience is almost a spoiler alert because you have to experience it without knowing)  is that it's a deep, highly evolved, journey into self.  A  'Re-birth'.  The care of the staff is A+.  The vibe of the Spa is A+.   Go.  Now.

A Truly Heart Opening Spa

I highly recommend an experience at the Stillpoint Wellness Spa. Place is immaculate, friendly and helpful staff. Esalen Massage is first class, excellent!

Excellent Esalen Massage experience.

This place is hands down the best spa i’ve been to on the East Coast. As someone who loves body work and has tried different kinds of massages through the years and in many places, I was ecstatic to find real and EXCELLENT Esalen massage here. The real deal. All therapists  in the SPA are trained by the owner, a very seasoned Esalen massage teacher. I took a 90 min massage and almost instantly dropped  into a deep state of mind and body connection. The spa is beautiful, blissful, and sparkling clean. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. They offer weighted blankets, tea and other amenities in a peaceful rest area, where you can lounge before or after your session. All my friends had 90 min floating sessions and loved it. Prices are totally fair for what you get.

Best massage I’ve had on the East Coast

I’ve been floating in the sensory deprivation tanks and getting massages at Stillpoint Wellness for a few years now and each time I return is better than the last. As a body worker myself, I’ve gotten many massages in Asheville over the years and Stillpoint has been by far the best.
You can tell that they take incredible care to hold an intentional and deeply healing environment. I’ve also gone recently to do their far infrared sauna with a friend, after a float it was the perfect way to take my relaxation to the next level. I cannot recommend Stillpoint enough… the best spa I’ve ever experienced :)

Best spa I’ve ever experienced!

I tried float therapy for the first time yesterday, and it was one of the most calming experiences I’ve had in a while.  90 minutes for $99.

The session started in a private room with a shower, robe, and float tank, followed by a relaxing lounge with tea and a warm neck wrap. One recommendation I’d make to the owner is to ensure the self-service drinking water is kept cold, as the water available after the session was warm and not as refreshing as it should have been after therapy.

The tank itself was dark, silent, and filled with body-temperature salt water. At first, I focused on relaxing and adjusting, but after about 15 minutes, I settled into complete stillness.

The most surprising part was how peaceful it felt — almost like being gently held or floating on clouds. Oddly, it even felt a bit like being a mermaid underwater.

It’s hard to fully describe, but I left feeling calm, safe, and completely reset. I’ll definitely go back.
