Talk about being close to the action!  This historic field is a step back in time.  Every seat in the park is right by the action.  Sure, the team store is a shack, the food options are standard ballpark fair, and there is NO PARKING.  But, oh!  That view!  I even caught a ball (well it stopped rolling and I picked it up.)  When I gave it to the kid behind me the fans gave me a nice hand.  What a great crowd!  If you like baseball even a little bit this park is not to be missed.

Wonderful, Historic Ballpark!

We are winter sports fans, the Asheville Tourists turned us into baseball fans!  But it wasn’t just the game, Nicole, a ticket manager, total professional, gave us world class customer service, with great advice that just completely enhanced our baseball experience!
Team mascot, Ted E. Tourist, doesn’t speak, but is to children and adults alike the most effective communicator in the park!  We all love this guy!  Particularly my son,  Logan, who is not a hugger, but stands to accept Ted’s hug.  I watch a four year old girl wrap her arms around Ted’s leg and not let go. Ted just scooped her up and carried her around the park for 4 innings!!! Extraordinary!  If you haven’t been, I urge you to take an afternoon or evening for great entertainment, food, world class customer service!  I’m from the Olympic Town of Lake Placid, if it were in my power I’d award the tourists, their support staff, Nicole and tourist leadership the Gold Medal!  Play Ball!!

We sat in the Bojangles suite area and it was fantastic. The price was amazing and you get all the food, bottled water, and coke you want for free. The guys played well and it was great entertainment!

Nice little baseball stadium in Asheville.  Farm team of the Astros. Cheaper beer tonight. Nice atmosphere despite smallish crowd.

A great activity for a group, but I do not recommend the Party Deck and its advance ordering system.  

The "deck" is a row of 16 stool seats at a counter and 16 regular seats below with only a cup holder.  You are encouraged to pre-order food, drinks and beer for the group, yet the process for receiving the items and ordering additional items was unclear, limited functionality and slow.  There is not a designated staff person for the large party as with other ballparks, so the visits from three staff members present were sporadic, with over 30 minutes wait between visits, which is painfully long gaps for a large party to receive their pre-purchased drinks.  The QR code at the counter directed you to only large platters of food (ie 8 bratwursts, 8 hot dogs), so individuals were unable to add their food and drink choices, a disappointment to the children and adults who wanted items throughout the game.  Forced to order the larger quantity, the food took over an hour to arrive.  It would have been better to purchase individual seats and order from vendors than the delays and challenges with the group-sale area.  I also note that the seats were occupied by general admission ticket holders, not moving with our arrival.  Staff did not ask them to leave, but put responsibility on the group leader to claim our paid seats. 

A highlight of the Friday game was the sensational fireworks display!  Amazing!  The game itself was enjoyable for the baseball fans and those looking to experience more of Asheville.  The fan engagement was strong from the field.
