Women’s Writing Circle: Walk in the Dark

  • For October, our ongoing monthly Women’s Writing Circle will gather around the theme Walk in the Dark. As we shift more deeply into autumn, we will turn toward what this darker season asks of us, holding space for both individual and collective tending.

I will tell an old folktale, rewoven through my own voice, before guiding us into spacious writing time, optional sharing, and a closing ritual. Rooted in myth and story, animism, ecopsychology, seasonal rhythms, and the living world, these intimate gatherings are an invitation to slow down, write, listen deeply, and make space for what wants to emerge.

No writing experience is needed- only a willingness to participate with curiosity, creativity, and care. Please bring a journal, something to write with, something to sit on, and a mug for herbal tea. Additional gathering details will be shared upon registration.

Choose one circle date: Thursday, October 22, 4–6 PM or Sunday, October 25, 2–4 PM. Asheville Botanical Gardens, rain or shine, with a covered gazebo available. Limited to 8 women per circle. Sliding scale $15–35 ($25 suggested).
