U.S. Christmas
As US Christmas enters their third decade as a band, they continue to push their sound into challenging new territory, blending wall-of-sound torrents of guitar, melancholic Appalachian dirge, and experimental electronic textures into a seamless and intense whole. From their early years releasing records on labels like Relapse and Neurot alongside sharing stages with bands like Baroness, Yob, and Hawkwind to their more recent incarnation that's pushed further and further away from genre convention, USX has demonstrated the degree of longevity that can arise from never settling into comfortable familiarity. Their newest release The Dark And Narrow is another in a long line of their releases that takes an omnivorous approach to outside influence while also not sounding exactly like anything else.
