The two-day workshop brings together experts from federal agencies, universities, and broadcast media to share research, operational insights, and best practices related to weather, water, and climate. While the workshop highlights issues relevant to the southern Appalachian region, presentations will cover a wide range of topics with national relevance.

The event begins Friday afternoon and continues all day Saturday, featuring oral and poster presentations, interactive discussions, and opportunities for engagement between researchers and operational forecasters.

The workshop is designed to foster collaboration across disciplines and improve how weather and climate information is shared with communities.
