Safe at Home: Understanding Domestic Violence, Housing, and Hope

The Housing Authority of the City of Asheville, in partnership with Helpmate and Our Voice, will host Safe at Home: Understanding Domestic Violence, Housing, and Hope on Thursday, July 30, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Maple Crest Community Room, 20 Lee Garden Lane, Asheville. The free community panel will explore the connection between domestic violence and housing stability, featuring local advocates, housing leaders, and individuals with lived experience. Panelists will also share practical guidance and local resources for people experiencing abuse, as well as for friends, family members, and neighbors who want to help someone they are concerned about. An audience question-and-answer session will follow. The event is open to Housing Authority residents, community partners, service providers, and members of the public.
