Restaurant Leadership Workshop: Real Skills for Real Pressure

Hosted by: Asheville Independent Restaurants (AIR) Association
Mar 03, 2026
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • The pace and chaos of the restaurant environment doesn’t wait for you to handle tough situations and your team reads every hesitation as weakness or apathy.

This workshop builds the three skills that separate ineffective managers from great
    leaders in high-pressure environments:

    • Having hard conversations without backing down or blowing up
    • Setting expectations and boundaries that earn respect instead of resentment
    • Transforming complaints (staff and customers) into opportunities that strengthen your operation

In this fast-paced workshop you’ll practice real world scenarios and leave with language and frameworks you can use in tonight’s shift. No theory. Just what works when the pressure’s on and everyone’s watching.

Led by Jay Rudolph who holds coaching credentials with the International Coaching Federation. His signature Coaching Skills for Managers program has delivered measured performance results for a range of industry leaders and their organizations. He grew up working in his family’s independent restaurant.
