RADish Fest Brings 12 Hours of Local Music & Art to The River Arts District This September
RADish Fest, a day-long celebration of local music and art, will take over The Grey Eagle Music Hall in Asheville's River Arts District on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The festival brings together over 20+ bands, artists, performers, and comedians across two stages for a full day of live music, live painting, a free makers market, and hands-on workshops put on by local RAD artists. RADish Fest started with a simple belief: sound and image feed off each other and they shouldn't be kept in separate rooms. For one day, musicians and visual artists take over the Grey Eagle side by side, turning the venue into an immersive community gathering rather than a standard concert.
What's Happening
- Live Music: from street-corner brass to psychedelic punk, back-country bluegrass to experimental folk, on two stages all day long
- Live Painting: local artists painting on canvases in real time
- Interactive & Immersive Installations: by local artists
- RADish Makers Market: prints, paintings, handmade goods, ceramics, zines, hand-blown glass and much more from local makers in the parking lot, free to the public from 11 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Workshop Tent by One Village WNC: block printing, sketch booking, painting, zine-making, more TBA. Free and no experience needed.
