Mark Bettis Gallery announces a new art show featuring Balsam Abo Zour beginning July 11th, 2026 at Bettis’ River Arts District Asheville gallery. .

“Pretty To A Wall” begins with two questions: who is the pretty, and what is a wall?

This exhibition centers on ceramic faces-some reflective, some punctured, some holding mirrors.

Patient, handmade, intimate forms emerge from clay and attach themselves to objects that resist resolution.

Our world is structured within invisible grids. We are born into them fully formed-delicate thresholds that move us from one space to another, often without our awareness. The shift is subtle but absolute: you are not just the viewer. You are the narrator. You are the creator.

“Pretty To A Wall” exhibition will run from July 11th, 2026, through July 25th, 2026, at the Mark Bettis River Arts District Gallery located at 123 Roberts St. Asheville, NC. The gallery is hosting an opening night reception on Saturday, July 11th from 5 to 7 pm. The reception is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served. All works will be available for purchase.
