  • Teens & Adults, Beginner to Intermediate with Li Newton; Class 11:30-3:30

    Goals:

    -Have fun.

-Learn basic analog (cut by hand) paper collage techniques.

-Learn how to transfer a photo onto a surface.

-Basic cutting and gluing, building layers to create depth.

-Complete the foundation of building a portrait of your favorite fur or feathered friend.

    Materials Provided:

-Practice boards and panels will be provided.

-I will also provide a wide selection of papers and gel medium, some scissors, paper towels, finger cots.

    You will bring:

    - 8 X 10 photo of your pet -- PRINTED on paper. This is a PORTRAIT class so please have head of pet fill much of the page rather than a full photo of your animal or tiny animal running in a landscape.

    - Extra colorful papers, magazines, etc that have a variety of colors and textures.

    - Apron or clothes you do mind getting a little glue on.

Don't forget to bring a beverage and snack.

This can be a serious portrait or something whimsical and silly. If you think you “can’t draw”, I’ll teach you a way to “cheat” to get the image down.

Everyone can do this! Don’t be intimidated. It’s all about learning, experimenting, community and having fun!

    Registration fee: $125 (includes materials)
