Ordinary Beauty: Art Opening with 3 New Artists

Beth Ammons, Laura Frisbie and Matt Levin invite viewers to pause and reconsider the familiar. In their hands, the ordinary becomes a source of discovery—and a reminder that beauty is often right in front of us. 

For Ammons, inspiration comes from the forests and mountains of Western North Carolina. Frisbie uses the unique qualities of watercolor to give ordinary things a sense of freshness and liveliness. Levin takes a more impressionistic approach, exploring water and reflection through layered texture and shifting light.
