The National Gingerbread House Competition at The Omni Grove Park Inn

The National Gingerbread House Competition is on public display at The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa from Nov. 17, 2026 through Jan. 3, 2027, with free viewing for non-guests on select evenings and weekdays. One of Asheville's most colorful traditions returns for its 34th year with hundreds of edible works of art built by makers of every age.

• Public Viewing: Nov. 17, 2026 – Jan. 3, 2027 | Non-guests can view the display after 6 p.m. on Sundays, or anytime Monday through Thursday during resort hours (parking permitting). Fridays and Saturdays are reserved for resort guests and dining reservations.
• Closed to the public: Nov. 26 and Dec. 6, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, plus Jan. 1.
• Entries: Creations must be at least 75% gingerbread and entirely edible, judged across Child, Youth, Teen, and Adult categories.
• Virtual fun: The "12 Days of Gingerbread" typically showcases entries Dec. 1–12 on the Omni Grove Park Inn's Facebook and Instagram channels.
