July 4th Bike Rides and Picnic Benefiting Pisgah Legal Services

Join the Downtown Asheville Racing Club (DARC) and The Chop Shop Butchery in presenting the annual July 4th celebration benefiting Pisgah Legal Services!
The festivities begin with two morning bike ride options led by DARC — a mixed-surface ride for competitive cyclists at 9 AM and an all-ages family ride at 11 AM — followed by a post-ride lunch provided by The Chop Shop Butchery.
Bring your camp chairs and beverages of choice and join us under the white oak and poplar trees at Patton Parker House on Charlotte Street. We can’t wait to spend time enjoying good company and connecting with friends and neighbors!
Schedule of Events
9 AM – Mixed-surface ride for competitive cyclists departs from Patton Parker House. Led by DARC, this is a challenging 40-mile course with one supported rest stop. Prizes will be awarded for the top three women and top three men.
11 AM – Family fun ride departs from Patton Parker House. Led by DARC, this ride is appropriate for all skill levels.
12–1:30 PM – Buffet-style barbecue lunch provided by Chop Shop Butchery. Vegetarian options available. Water will be provided; otherwise, BYOB. Lunch will happen, rain or shine.
Pricing
40-mile ride: $30
40-mile ride plus lunch: $55
Family ride: $15 for the first family member; $5 for each additional member
