Jazz & Soul Sessions: Kelle Jolly & The Will Boyd Project

Banjul-Banjo Music Series presents Jazz & Soul Sessions @YMI is a vibrant new concert series featuring nationally acclaimed artists Kelle Jolly and The Will Boyd Project, making up a dynamic five member house band. Two sets of original music along with jazz favorites like Nina Simone and Ella Baker sung by Kelle Jolle, and co-led by multi-instrumentalist and "mad sax man" Will Boyd honoring the soul sax prophets—Eddie Harris, Hank Crawford, King Curtis.

This monthly gathering is a perfect setting for locals and visitors from out of town. Hosted at the historic YMI Cultural Center, this initiative honors the history and celebrates the rhythm of our legacy in the heart of Asheville, NC.
