The Gardener Movie Screening

After the loss of her husband and father, Sabena Weathers (Radha Mitchell) fights to preserve her family's cosmetics empire while facing a hostile takeover. Seeking refuge, she retreats to a remote mountaintop garden cottage, where a chance encounter with a simple gardener (William Miller) sparks a powerful journey of love, self-discovery, and transformation. Rooted in quiet mystery and emotional truth, THE GARDENER explores loss, healing, and the courage to realize one's true self.

LOCAL CONNECTIONS

Much of the movie was filmed locally in Franklin and Highlands, NC. In addition, a local creative team worked together to produce the book. The book is the vision of Director Dabney Day, and was co-designed by Dabney and local artist/designer Andrea Kulish Wilhelm. The book was illustrated with gorgeous original watercolor paintings by Asheville artist, Olga Dorenko, was printed locally by Rocky Kenworthy at Dot Editions, and the binding was done by Kimberly Obee of Wishing Flower Press and Bindery in Black Mountain. The Gardener will screen at the Fine Arts Theater in Asheville on May 6. Writer/Director/Producer Dabney Day will be in attendance and will have a Q& A at the end. https://www.thegardenermovie.com/
