Gamers' Haunt Grand Opening

After 14 years on Merrimon Ave, Ashveille's local game store Gamers' Haunt has finally moved to an upgraded location in downtown Asheville with three times the space for card games, RPGs, and board games. To celebrate, we'll be hosting a Grand Opening weekend!

Gamers' Haunt invites you to enjoy our new space and try out some new games—and most importantly, stop by and say hi so we can thank all of you for your help in getting us here. Both days will have raffles where attendees can win cool prizes from across our various games. On Sunday, for example, one person will walk away with a sealed Goblin Storm Secret Lair Commander Deck from Magic: the Gathering!

Saturday will be dedicated to new games we’re carrying and hosting events for. From 1 to 5pm, we’ll have tables set out for players to demo Warhammer 40K, Sorcery: Contested Realm, Star Wars Unlimited, Riftbound, and learn about some of the tabletop RPGs we’re most excited about.

Sunday will be all about Magic! We’ll have casual commander all day, three 8-person drafts for only $15 that will fire as they fill, and tables set up for players to learn Magic or try out new formats. Ever wanted to try out Standard, Modern, Premodern, or Pauper? From 1-5, we’ll have tables set up with our regular players who will walk you through your first game of these formats—no need to bring a deck of your own.
