Prerequisites: Joining the Find Your Way: West Asheville Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training requires a combination of foundational yoga experience, commitment, and readiness for personal growth. Participants should have at least six months of consistent yoga practice and a genuine curiosity about how yoga can support self-discovery and alignment with their life’s purpose. Applicants must be 21 years or older and fully committed to the program’s schedule and requirements, including in-class training, personal practice, and assignments. Emotional maturity and self-awareness are essential, along with an openness to explore yoga beyond physical postures, diving into philosophy, anatomy, and mindfulness. The application process involves submitting details about your yoga experience, goals, and reasons for joining the training, as well as a short interview to ensure alignment between the program’s focus and your intentions. A dedication to learning, both in practice and in theory, will help create a meaningful and impactful training experience. By meeting these prerequisites, you lay the foundation for an empowering journey into yoga teaching and personal growth.

-Homework and Assignments:
In addition to completing the required readings, participants will engage in various assignments including written reflections and evaluations; class observations and journaling of daily yoga/meditation practice; student teaching assignments designed to build confidence and teaching skills.
Details about these assignments will be provided during the first weekend of training. Participants should plan to dedicate time outside of class hours to complete these tasks.
-Attendance and Non-Contact Hours:
Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory. Missed hours must be made up individually with a lead teacher at $100/hour (see make up policy section).
Additional non-contact hours are required, including observations of community classes or related events. Details will be shared at the start of the program.
A regular yoga and meditation practice is essential. Each participant will maintain a practice journal to document their personal journey throughout the program.
Students will actively participate in group discussions, reflections, and mindfulness practices during training weekends.
Individual and group assessments will ensure comprehension and retention of key concepts, such as alignment and anatomical principles.
The program will culminate in a practicum where students demonstrate their teaching skills and understanding of asana, pranayama, and meditation.
Throughout the training, we’ll provide recommended resources such as podcasts, films, and music to enrich your learning experience.
By meeting these requirements, you’ll ensure a meaningful and rewarding journey through the Find Your Way teacher training program.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: The registration deposit of $500 is non-refundable upon payment. Other tuition fees are non-refundable once the program has begun, August 7th, 2026.
