This dance’s intention: Exquisite

Since the death of my beloved 20-year-old son almost three months ago, I have been living with exquisite pain — raw, acute, and impossible to ignore. And within that pain, I have also felt exquisite beauty: the depth of my love for him, the love that continues beyond death, and the extraordinary support of friends, family, and this AMC dance community.

This mix is an invitation to come as you are.

To feel your feelings.

To let the body tell the truth.

To make space for grief, love, gratitude, anger, tenderness, numbness, joy, or whatever is alive in you.

We gather to be honest. To be human. To move what is real. Together."
