Ancestor’s Dream ~ Anonymous

Beneath the soil of forgotten years,
They spun their hope from grief and tears,
A whispered wish upon the night,
For roots to hold and wings for flight.

They saw through mists of time and space,
The bold emergence of our face,
And in the quiet of the dark,
They kept alive the glowing spark.

We are the breath of what they sought,
The very peace for which they fought,
Across the bridge of time, we gleam:
We are our ancestor's great dream.

About the Facilitator: Rory Jagdeo

Rory is a singer/songwriter and an AMC Facilitator. He stepped into Ecstatic Dance in Houston, TX for the first time in 2014 and believes in the power of dance to transform and bring a healthier, happier, and connected lifestyle. It is that driving force and passion that pushes him to explore the role of being an Ecstatic Dance Facilitator using world rhythms and different musical genres to weave mixes that incorporate many elements of 8Rhythms.
