Día de los Muertos Celebration at Xico
- Xico175 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801, USA, Asheville,
Xico, Cocina de Fuego, is throwing their first-ever Día de los Muertos celebration with a festive brunch. Guests can enjoy a special communal ofrenda honoring departed family members and ancestors, complimentary face painting, live DJ entertainment, and a holiday-inspired Pan de Muerto French Toast by Executive Chef Scott Linquist. The celebration will also feature Xico’s new Build-Your-Own Michelada Cart, alongside its signature brunch favorites. The ofrenda is a traditional altar adorned with symbolic offerings meant to welcome and honor the spirits of departed loved ones. Guests are encouraged to participate by bringing photographs of family members, friends or loved ones they wish to remember, as well as flowers. Marigolds are believed to guide spirits with their vibrant colors and distinctive fragrance. This ofrenda will also be set up at Xico all weekend long for diners to take a moment to honor their families and friends who have passed on.
With its first anniversary approaching, Xico invites the community to celebrate Mexican heritage through food, music and remembrance.
