Carl Powell: 50 Years of Glass & Photography

Grovewood Gallery presents Carl Powell: 50 Years of Glass & Photography, celebrating the Asheville artist’s five-decade career. Explore his innovative glass sculptures and evocative photographs. Join the opening reception on February 21 from 2–5 PM, with the artist in attendance. Exhibition runs through April 5, 2026. Free to attend. 

Carl Powell’s glass commissions have included the City of Anchorage, the University of Florida, the International Olympic Committee, and, most recently, seven stained glass windows for the Van Dyke Performance Space in Greensboro, NC. His work is also in the private collections of Robert Rauschenberg, Dale Chihuly, and Tess Harper.
