If you’re in town for Billy week and still riding that BMFS wave, don’t even think about going to bed early. North State Grass hits the Palm Room with high-energy bluegrass that’ll touch your heart, spin your head, and move your feet (sometimes all at once). Fronted by Steven Davidson (mandolin), Cooper Eades (guitar), and Lindsey Emmons (bass), this crew pulls from everywhere: rock, blues, funk, metal, jazz, jam band vibes, you name it, then flips it into something that still feels rooted in bluegrass but refuses to stay in one lane.

Expect earworm originals, wild covers you’d never expect in a bluegrass form, and those spacey jams that hit just right after midnight. They’ve shared stages with names like Leftover Salmon, members of Infamous Stringdusters, The Lil Smokies, and more, plus they’ve even celebrated Doc Watson’s birthday alongside his guitarist Jack Lawrence.
